Relaxing and enjoyable holiday
“Embudu is a lovely little island, about 25 minutes by speedboat from the airport and Male. The staff are very friendly and will do everything they can to make you stay as enjoyable as possible. There is one restaurant and one bar so if you are looking for multiple places to eat, swimming pools, air conditioned gyms and lots of night life this is not for you. If you are looking for a tranquil island with lots of shade, good snorkeling and scuba diving and a very relaxed atmosphere then this will tick all your boxes. Like many of the islands there is some bleaching of the coral, but this does not appear to have affected the amount of fish life on the house reef, which is easily accessible from the shore. This is definitely a ‘no news, no shoes’ island.”
Fantastic Holiday
“We had the most wonderful holiday at the Embudu village at the start of April was a total chill holiday, we had a basic room when we arrived which although had everything you need we decided to go for an upgrade to a water bungalow best thing we did totally made our week stay even more rememberable, the sea is crystal clear and the marine life is great from black tipped sharks, rays turtles and all kinds of fish. We walked around the island every day takes around 15 mins there are loads of places for soaking up the rays on the white sands, snorkelling diving all water sports etc. The meals are buffet style and you are allocated the same table and waiter for your stay our waiter Bashier was top notch as were all the staff, we would 100% go there again great place.”
The perfect Maldives trip
“It has been one of the best trip. Specially the staff, very good, nice people. A special mention to our waiter Thasleem and the manager Rasheed always ready to help us in everything we need.
The reef is awesome, all the island surrounded by coral gardens and tons of fishes, sharks rays etc. The food was great, typically Maldivian food very good cooked.
Totally recommended 100. We come back!!”
Maldives
“Took 2 young children of 1 and nearly 4. AWESOME place for kids. The sea is so safe, calm and shallow on the right side of the island. The kids absolutely loved it. My 4yo snorkelled out and saw Nemo. A highlight for her. The staff were lovely. The beaches safe and uncrowded. The children made some lovely friends. They were never bored. They played for hours in the sand. This island is covered in trees so loads of shade. Seriously friendly people. Just brilliant.”
Wonderful Place
“We had stayed at Embudu for three nights in February. The waters are great, pristine blue. Even though it is one of the less expensive resort islands of Maldives, the facilities offered at Embudu are simply superb. Cottages are spacious. Buffet meals have a varied menu with n number of dishes. Hospitality of staff is amazing. It was beautiful, quiet and serene. There is lots of greenery on the island. One side of island faces Male. You can see the buildings of capital city dotted along the blue waters of Indian ocean. We used to love watching the night sky sitting at the sand bank with cool breeze flowing. The island is small as such. You can walk around its perimeter in 10 minutes. But the nature and beauty is overwhelming. We had a memorable stay and would love to come back.”
What a beautiful place
“Beautiful Island which I visited 29 Times. Lovely beach, perfect food with a wide variety, nice and very clean rooms, open restaurant, over water bar, and most important, absolutely friendly stuff. Not posh, you can walk barefoot. Housereef very near. I would highly recommend Embudu village.”
