Celebrate the Festive Season in Island Style at Embudu Village

As the year draws to a close, Embudu Village invites guests to celebrate the festive season in true island style, with a thoughtfully curated programme of Christmas and New Year experiences. From relaxed daytime activities to lively evening celebrations, our Festive Programme 2025 is designed to bring together the simple joys of the season in a timeless setting surrounded by nature.

A Warm Start to Christmas

The festivities begin on 22 December 2025, with a Christmas tree decorating session in the afternoon, followed by a heart-warming Christmas tree lighting ceremony at sunset.

On 24 December 2025, guests can join a special Christmas dive, organised by our dive centre Diverland. As evening approaches, the celebrations continue with a cocktail beach party with a DJ, leading into the opening ceremony of the Christmas Gala Dinner. The night concludes with a lively Christmas party, where music and dancing carry the festivities into the late hours.

Music, Rhythm and Island Vibes

Adding to the festive atmosphere, live music by Hiyani Band will take place on 26 December, bringing rhythm and energy to the island evening. A DJ night on 28 December ensures the celebrations continue in a relaxed, social setting as guests unwind and enjoy the final days of the year.

Welcoming the New Year by the Sea

The highlight of the programme unfolds on 31 December, as Embudu Village comes together to welcome the New Year. The evening begins with a cocktail beach party, followed by the opening ceremony of the New Year’s Gala Dinner. As the night builds, guests can enjoy a New Year’s party with a DJ, complemented by a Boduberu performance with cultural dance (to be confirmed), showcasing local Maldivian traditions.

At midnight, join us for a special countdown to the New Year, welcoming fresh beginnings beneath the stars, with the sound of the ocean as your backdrop.

The celebrations continue into the New Year with live music by Hiyani Band on 2 January 2026, offering the perfect soundtrack to relaxed island evenings and unhurried holiday moments.
